Common Sense Elections is registered with the Federal Election Commission as an independent expenditure only committee.  We may accept unlimited contributions from individuals, corporations, and other organizations.  Contributions from foreign nationals, foreign corporations, and federal government contractors are prohibited.  Common Sense Election’s spending is independent, and it does not make contributions to, or coordinate its spending with candidates or political parties.  Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer for individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Contributions to Common Sense Elections are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes.
